The permit for Special Protection, in addition to coming from a decision of the Territorial Commission for the application for international protection, so from a procedure of political asylum request, can also be requested directly to the Questura to assess, together with the Commission, the family ties of the person concerned, his actual social integration in Italy, the duration of his stay in the national territory to issue a permit for Special Protection.

The permit for Special Protection has a duration of two years, is renewable.
