The qualifications obtained abroad in non-Italian institutions have no legal value in Italy, therefore it is possible to ask for:

• The Equivalence of the title, in order to participate in a competition. This procedure does not validate the diploma obtained, but authorizes its use for a specific practice, it is requested through the form directly to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers;
• The Equipollence of the qualification, which also confers legal value to the qualification and recognizes the validity of the foreign qualification in Italy, it is not possible for non-EU citizens to request equipollence for second degree diplomas, while they can request the equipollence of university degrees.
